Philologist and linguist Lisa Carter, translator of several novels, published an interview with Da?na Chaviano in her blog Intralingo, which specializes in the work of the literary translators. Unlike other interviews previously done to the writer, this one focuses on the work relationships within the author-translator binomial.
"If a writer doesn't trust his or her translator, the working relationship that needs to exist between the two could become strained. However, if the author establishes a relationship of open cooperation with that translator, either through ongoing contact by e-mail, phone or some other method, this collaboration will go beyond that."
