In this article on the Cuban poet Dulce Maria Loynaz, Daína Chaviano recalls a strange experience she had during the first and only time she saw the poet in Havana. The text was translated from the original in Spanish, published three days before at El Nuevo Herald on December 8th, 1992. Loynaz received the Cervantes Literature Prize, the most important literary award in the Hispanic world.
