Daína Chaviano (Author)

This article was published in The Miami Herald, when Daína Chaviano was part of the staff as translator and columnist. Originally written in Spanish, it was translated and published on St. Patrick's Day, on March 17th, 1993. At that time, the author was working in Gata encerrada, the first novel of her series The Occult Side of Havana, whose plot reflects the author's interest in some of the subjects addressed in this article.
