The Cuatrogatos Foundation has revealed its annual list of its awards and recommendations for children's and youth literature books published in 2019.

In its portal, the Foundation acknowledges having analyzed 1500 volumes, published by 171 publishers from 20 countries. Only 100 titles get to the list of the most outstanding.

Among the recommendations of this annual award is Amoroso planeta, a collection of stories published by Norma (Colombia). This was Daína Chavianos's second book in Cuba, where it had two editions (1983 and 1990). It had never been published again until the present Colombian edition.

These are love stories within the science fiction genre, with numerous mythological and fantastic allusions.

The list of the Cuatrogatos Foundation is announced every January 28, in homage to the birth of José Martí, the Cuban hero who was also a pioneer and forerunner in Spanish-American literature aimed at children. His book La Edad de Oro (The Golden Age), which compiles his stories, poems and articles for children, is considered a classic of children's literature in the Spanish language.
